                                  Bharuch District Child Protection Core Group Meeting

     District core group committee meeting was organized on the following themes:

ü Village community aware of Child rights and their education.

ü Every child get child hood.

ü Every child protection committee of village collaborated with ICPS.

ü Child protection committee works for every child and fights for child rights.

In this meeting Bharuch and Zaghadiya both cpc members gave their presence, besides that Bharuch District core group member, Gram Vikas Trust Program Manager Brijesh Shah, Program Officer Jitendra Kareliya, Renish Bharuchwala also gave their presence. We invited DCPU from ICPS as Chief Guest.

We started the programme with prayer and light lampening by invitee.

Mr. jitendra kareliya (CPPO) started the program. He gave presentation on Child issues and our Constitutional value. He gave information regarding Different ngos and government Department that works on child rights and their issues. At village level there are 3 types of groups/ committees are available who is work for child rights, and those committee presence child issues in gramsabha, generally in village there are many cases of child abused or child labor are arise at that time these committee work on that matter.

 

Gram Vikas Trust and Integrated child protection unit (ICPS) is basically working on child issues in village. Besides that many government agencies are working on child issues. In this program gram vikas trust has also list out the responsibility of Child Groups and Child Protection Committee.

Ø Observation Home

Ø Special Juvenile Police Unit

Ø Child Labour Prevention and regulation Act.

Ø Right to Education

DCPO officer gave thorough information about ICPS(Integrated Child Protection Scheme), institutional and non-institutional  care, different schemes of Social Protection Department to all and told that in a very short time ICPS will take all CPC into their unit. 

At the end of the program core group members gave their different views on Child issues and their roles and responsibilities. DCPU officers give toll free child line number (1098) where the child related issues being solved.

Programme Manager closing this meeting with vote of thanks to all CPC members, CG members, AWW, Schools, Village people, Gram panchayat who gave their support directly or indirectly to run this Project in their villages successfully.
